Pacte is a mixed research unit (UMR-5194) specializing in the social sciences. It is affiliated to France’s National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) and Sciences Po Grenoble, School of Political Studies, Université Grenoble Alpes. The research centre is an associate member of the National Foundation of Political Science (FNSP). Pacte brings together political scientists, geographers, planners and sociologists doing research at Grenoble. The team also includes several economists, lawyers and historians. In all the research unit comprises 120 permanent researchers and faculty members, 25 engineers and technicians and 150 PhD students.
