Administrative support

Reporting to the laboratory's Administrative and Financial Director, the administrative research support team is organised into several departments and divisions.

Financial department

The financial department manages the funding granted by the unit's three supervisory bodies: CNRS, UGA and Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA, including annual grants, specific grants for scientific events and grants for the many research contracts and projects in which Pacte is involved. It is made up of seven managers, including a coordinator.

Human Resources Department

The Human Resources department is responsible for managing the permanent and temporary staff of the Pacte laboratory. It is made up of a full-time local HR coordinator and two part-time staff who provide assistance with the management of doctoral students, guests and trainees, as well as the management of HR databases.

Site reception

Pacte's two main sites in Grenoble, in terms of the number of staff and laboratory members who work there, each have a part-time administrative manager responsible for physical reception, logistical management of the sites and occupation of the premises.

Projects, Partnerships and Development Department

The variety of Pacte's research activities regularly involves setting up projects, partnerships or seeking funding. As the responses and documents required by our supervisory bodies, partners or funding bodies require specific expertise, the laboratory has set up a dedicated support service to assist its members. It must be informed upstream of any intention to submit a research project or contract.

Communication

Pacte is a lively, dynamic laboratory whose activities are also reflected in the intense circulation of information and the many communication tools and products it produces. Pacte has a communications officer to help its members promote their research.

Scientific and technical information

The Pacte documentation resource officer is responsible for disseminating the unit's scientific output. She provides staff with access to the documentary and electronic resources available in the laboratory's libraries and documentation centres. Access to documentary resources for researchers and the intelligent management of publications signed up to Pacte is another major challenge for the promotion of its research. The laboratory's members can therefore count on the support of its documentation resources officer.

Information technology

The Pacte laboratory is spread over several sites belonging to different supervisory IS, with varying levels and scopes of intervention. Depending on the logistical or software problems encountered, the sole agent in charge of Pacte's IT resources provides guidance to staff or takes charge of their support, including requests for quotes for the purchase of IT equipment. If the problem cannot be resolved at unit level, he or she will liaise with the IT Services Departments of our parent institutions.

The Information System Security Correspondent manages all aspects of systems and data security. He is the link between the security authorities (CISO, SDF, DGSI, etc.) and the laboratory. Any attempt or suspicion of a computer attack or fraudulent use of data belonging to the laboratory must be reported immediately to the Information System Security Manager and to the laboratory's Security Department.
