Laboratoire Pacte (Université Grenoble Alpes, CNRS & Sciences Po Grenoble) and the Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE) are excited to announce their upcoming joint workshop covering the Cambodian monetary context.

This is a unique opportunity to join us online on June 17, 2024, at 9 a.m. Paris time/2 p.m. Phnom Penh time, to meet virtually with experts who analyze and stakeholders who actively shape the Cambodian monetary context.

This workshop will also represent an opportunity to unveil the roadmap for the upcoming two-year PHC Tonlé Sap research partnership between the French Embassy in Cambodia, the Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE), and Laboratoire Pacte.

9:10 AM – 9:20 AM: Opening Remarks by Dr. Thi-Anh-Dao TRAN, French Embassy in Cambodia.
9:20 AM - 9:30 AM: Workshop introduction, by Pr. Jean-François PONSOT & Mr. Laurent MESMANN.
9:30 AM - 10:10 AM: Keynote address Digital currencies and re-rielization: The case of Cambodia, by HE Dr. Serey CHEA, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia.
10:10 AM - 11:40 AM: Panel discussion (20 minutes per paper followed by general discussion)
