Research project
Truedem (Trust in European Democracies)
The Truedem project aims to provide an overview of the evolution and main factors of political trust in Europe.
In particular, I contribute to the empirical qualitative research :
- focus groups with citizens, to understand the links between perceptions of the political system and political trust
- interviews with policymakers and civil society leaders, who are invited to express their views on the issue of public trust in their country, as well ason their perception of the quality of governance and the effectiveness of institutions.
I am also contributing to a review of scientific studies highlighting the links between democratic innovations and trust in political institutions and support for democratic values.

Présentation
I hold a PhD in political science (Sciences Po - CERI), through which I initially specialized in the political sociology of contemporary Turkey. My research focuses on the sociology of public policy from a gender perspective and on the transformations of political domination in Turkey under the AKP. My thesis explores women's participation in welfare provision and their role in AKP's local government.
More generally, I am interested in the links between public policies and political behaviors, and in the nature of relations between citizens and the state, in a comparative approach.
I am currently contributing to the European TRUEDEM project (Sciences Po Grenoble/Pacte), which focuses on political trust in twelve European countries, where I'm exploring the relationships between citizens, political elites and institutions.
