My work focuses on the role of citizens’ groups in processes of spatial transformation and in the management of urban infrastructure. My research examines situations of negotiation and collaboration between institutions and civil society that challenge the role of social critique. I am particularly interested in the implications of ethnographic methods in both urban practice and urban research.
